WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH 2009
SUBLIFE RECORDINGS SHOWCASE...

Featuring fresh new music from SubLife recording artists, a stunning fashion show featuring beautiful garments by Invisible Hero, and amazing local art installed for one night only by Lower Haters.

This night will also feature an epic LA vs. the Bay battle set throw down as we bring you...

DJ Whizard (Drumz - Los Angeles)

One of LA's finest, the Whizard brings to the table a selection that spans across many styles, effortless tight mixing, and undeniable energy. That being said, there is no question why this is one of the busiest Drum n Bass DJ's in Los Angeles. While keeping a busy performance schedule both in So-Cal and around the Country, the one they call Whizard has also put in some serious studio time as of late, knocking out some serious dance floor pressure in both Drum n Bass & Dubstep.

VS.

Lukeino (SubLife, Compression, Reflex, Hit n Run - San Francisco)

Lukeino has been holding it down in the Bay Areaʼs Drum & Bass scene for over 6 years DJing at many of San Franciscoʼs finest events as well as in Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento and NYC. He has been producing for over 10 years and has created memorable music that has seen airplay on the BBC Radio 1 among other outlets. In addition to co-founding SubLife, Lukeinoʼs talents have recently been recruited by San Franciscoʼs legendary Compression Crew, running 10 years strong!

Witness this historic set as these two battle it out behind on the decks to see who will be the last man standing!

This event will also be the official release party for our 2nd & 3rd releases.

SBLF002 is entitled "Taking it to the Streets". To help celebrate the occasion we will be joined by it's producers...

2 Cents (Compression, WODNB, SubLife)

No introduction needed here... These two have been running game in SF since way before you moved here. The Compression bad boys are putting in work and cranking out hit after hit. "Taking it to the Streets" is a bight uplifting roller. Influences of soul, funk and hip hop all rolled together into a sun soaked afternoon. Great for the dancefloor or the headphones. B/w "One Time", a dancefloor smasher scientifically designed for the big subs and is guaranteed to get the party rockin. These guys are known for bringing their signature hard rolling bounce, but will joining us to deliver a rare smooth and funky set laced with original and exclusive tracks.

Check out their recent interview with WWW.SFSTATION.COM

Believe the hype.

The Heights (Shelter, SubLife)

The Heights (aka E.A.S.T.) is a producer to be on the look out for. Keeping himself detached from mainstream reality, his production is focused on obscure sounds and a heavy rollin vibe. As a DJ, he never disappoints and always brings a fresh new take on a classic old school style. His latest collaboration with Lukeino & Equilibrium had thousands losing their minds at LovEvolution. We look forward to hearing him bring the heat for this jam.

Phleck & Gordo (Hit n Run, SubLife)

Two of San Francisco's best, these guys have been tearing up the club circuit in SF for many years rocking the best in Hip Hop, Breaks, Funk, Drum n Bass, Reggae, Dubstep and anything else you can think of that has a dope beat. With Phleck in the mix and Gordo scratching live, the energy and vibe is second to non. Selection is flawless the mixing and cuts are as fresh and tight as can be. After taking some time to hone in their studio skills lately, there are some seriously fresh new beats, bootlegs and mash ups that have been turning heads around town. Keep your eyes out and your ears open for big sounds to come from these two.

Hosted by...

Paulie Rhyme (Miles Outside, SubLife)

Paul was raised in the Rustbelt city of Cleveland and bred in a dichotomy of struggle and privilege, poverty and wealth, school and streets. These experiences would shape the viewpoints and creative voice that would turn an inner city college athlete into an aspiring educator into a torchbearer for this thing we call, Hip Hop. Recording and touring full time has kept this man in demand all over the world. This versatile MC can't get enough of the Drum n Bass sound and was the featured vocalist on SubLife's first release, The Key.

Ax!oM MC (SubLife, Compression, Grime City, Beatropolis)

Ax!oM is Co-Founder of SubLife and has developed a dynamic and original style over many years of countless shows performing with nearly every big name in Drum & Bass. One of the hardest working and most sought after MC in SF Drum n Bass and Dubstep, Ax!oM holds down residencies with 6 different crews.

For the past several years, alongside the legendary Audio Angel, Ax!oM MC has been performing with the live act Beatropolis. After releasing “A Life in Color EP” in 2007, the group has played at huge events such at the World of Drum n Bass and has shared the stage with artists such as Michael Franti, J Boogie, Jah Warrior Shelter and many more.
