In the spirit of agelessness! Invisible Hero's Model of the moth for August Zelda Kaplan

Invisible Hero's Model Of the Month For August!
    Zelda Kaplan

Feisty, fierce, tenacious, talented and steeped in one of a kind style. At 94 Zelda was still traveling to Africa to pick out her signature textiles, inspiring young members of the art scene and dancing the night away with the best of them at underground scenes in New York.

Quoted as saying "I prefer the company of younger people, older people complain of illnesses"  Life never got away from her. Zelda was a permanent and notorious fixture of the New York Underground and Art Scene for decades. A style icon in her African textiles and signature hats and trend setter hell bent on enjoying life to the fullest!

She founded the World Culture Society in 2004 and worked running a one woman organization raising awareness among  African American women. Not only a party girl her good deeds and infectious spirit inspired most anyone she came in contact with.  She was the subject of a 2004 documentary entitled "Her Name Was Zelda"  I highly recommend a viewing!

Zelda passed away in 2012 after attending a fashion event (front row of course) she simply fainted and passed away. So elegant and stylish was her way even down to her final curtain call.

In the spirit of agelessness for Invisible Hero's birthday month Zelda Kaplan is our model of the month. Proving age is just a number, life is fantastic and style is forever!
