Invisible Hero Runway: Allure Fashion Show with Scarlette Lash

As the Seasons Turn Equinox Thoughts and All Hallows Eve Costumes

What will thy become for all hallows eve?

Turning of the seasons from light to dark! The equinox is appon us and the fall is here, time to delve into the dark hours of reflection but not before the yearly transformation of souls on Halloween!

What will you transform yourself into this Halloween? Something sexy? So basic. Something Scary? That's what everybody does. Have you thought about your couture Halloween looks? Avant Garde! Why not. You've done everything else right!

Clearly this look is done flawlessly by designer Iris Van Herpen.  There are always alternatives and other ways to construct the "Skeleton" putting your own twist on it. Classic and done so well here.

The faceless man, or woman! Love this idea because it can go so many different directions. Different fabrics in different colors or maybe add multiple masks with different expressions?

The strange girl...from 1999. I don't know why but if I could get away with this for a night I would be happy. I feel like you don't really have to even be anything with that much flounce. You ARE the party.

Send in the clowns...nothing says creepy like a clown. Try a different color spin on the classic color block striping situation associated with clowns. This pink white and black number illustrates perfectly how color and pattern combos can be used to completely change an old tired look.

These are some of my favorite ideas for costumes, cant wait to see what everyone cooks up on all hallows eve ...now to figure out what event Ill be gracing with my stunning transformation. Have fun everyone.

The night before Invisible Hero's Designer Charlie B's birthday was a blast, surrounded by artists and muses and the patrons that support them. San Francisco's Ruby Skye was a hot spot for the arts and the entertainment up and comings of San Francisco.
Showcasing the Artistic expression of make up artist CoCo Milletti and the fashion stylings of Invisible Hero it was a show to remember.  Music, burlesque, watercolor, hand crafted art, and fashion, mix together and serve boiling with a side of amazing!

In the spirit of agelessness! Invisible Hero's Model of the moth for August Zelda Kaplan

Invisible Hero's Model Of the Month For August!
    Zelda Kaplan

Feisty, fierce, tenacious, talented and steeped in one of a kind style. At 94 Zelda was still traveling to Africa to pick out her signature textiles, inspiring young members of the art scene and dancing the night away with the best of them at underground scenes in New York.

Quoted as saying "I prefer the company of younger people, older people complain of illnesses"  Life never got away from her. Zelda was a permanent and notorious fixture of the New York Underground and Art Scene for decades. A style icon in her African textiles and signature hats and trend setter hell bent on enjoying life to the fullest!

She founded the World Culture Society in 2004 and worked running a one woman organization raising awareness among  African American women. Not only a party girl her good deeds and infectious spirit inspired most anyone she came in contact with.  She was the subject of a 2004 documentary entitled "Her Name Was Zelda"  I highly recommend a viewing!

Zelda passed away in 2012 after attending a fashion event (front row of course) she simply fainted and passed away. So elegant and stylish was her way even down to her final curtain call.

In the spirit of agelessness for Invisible Hero's birthday month Zelda Kaplan is our model of the month. Proving age is just a number, life is fantastic and style is forever!

Révélatíon De l'artisanat Fashion Show

Revelation De L'artisanat

June was a great month for fashion in the bay area.....
Plenty of sunshine and sultry onsembles showing themselves on the streets. The historic Stork Club of Oakland proudly housed us for the 1 year anniversary of Holy Craft Brewery and a Runway show of epic proportions. Showcasing new and seasoned designers from the bay area, musical talents of Nina Noir and her band of merry musicians, stand up comedy and burlesque talents of Scarlet Lash this was a night to remember.
