Model Of The Month June 2015 Hirari Ikeda Kwaii Summer Daze

Hirari Ikeda,
Japanese Style empress and Japanese Street photo icon.

Invisible Hero took a trip across the ocean for Junes Model of the Month...

Originally from Nagano Japan Hirari Ikeda moved to Tokyo at the tender age of 18 to chase dreams of beauty and style. Begining in beauty school Hirari worked her way into a job at one of the most popular street fashion boutiques in Tokyo, Dog Harajuku.

Dog boutique provided an excellent atmosphere for Hirari to exhibit her signature style and larger than life attitude through her look.  Using hair, make-up and styling she distorts typical image stereotypes and creates pure living art.

Now 21 and a staple among international harajuku fanatics and fashion lovers alike Hirari's most recent modeling work includes a Campaign for Diesel photographed by Nicola Formichetti, and an interesting and enchanting shoot featuring the psy-street fashions of Shouhei Kato. Covers for Nylon magazine and her very own birthday fashion spread entitled "Happy Birthday To Me"

The level of commitment to her art exhibited by Hirari is staggering she states that her "style changes every two weeks." as she becomes bored with each of her creations. These style changes vary to extremes including cornrows one week and a electric pink shaved head the next. Recently she has acquired a neck piercing and dons amazing studded platform sneakers.

Hirari Ikea is surely someone to check back on for style ideas and inspiration and we are thrilled at Invisible Hero to call her our model of the month for June.
